This book explains lots of weapons and tools invented by military or private company.
These include satellite navigation, canned food, microwave oven, aqua lung, internet and so on.
It was easy to read because each section is very short.
Here are my memo:
- microwave oven was invented by coincidence in radar development.
- SCUBA is Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.
軍や企業によって発明された兵器やツールを紹介している一冊。オーブンレンジやGPS、缶詰、アクアラング、インターネットなど多岐にわたって紹介されています。各章が短いので読むのも楽。
以下はメモ：
・オーブンレンジはレーダー開発中の偶然によって発明された
・SCUBAはSelf-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatusの略。
