I'm always surprised with his storytelling. Previously, I read this with Japanese translated version. However, this reading gave me fresh catastrophe.
One historical evidence in WW2 that there was some dis-communication in German as of D-day. That greatly contributed the success of invasion. Based on the evidence, Ken Follett cleverly weaved attractive story.
毎度毎度、このかたのストーリーテリングにやられています。もともとは日本語訳を読んだのですが、原書で読んでも改めて面白い。
第二次世界大戦において、D-day(ノルマンディー上陸作戦)の時になぜか、ドイツ側の連携がうまくいかなかったという史実があります。この史実に著者が巧妙に物語を織り込んで出来上がったのが本作。ちなみにJackdawとはコクマルガラスのこと。知りませんでした。
